About Us

 Hello! I'm Tamara, part founder, and creator of Twisted Sister Crafts. My love for crafting started many, MANY years ago as a child and I've dabbled at pretty much any kind of craft at one time or another over the years. As the oldest Twisted Sister, I started painting over 40 years ago!  What started as coloring in books turned into cutting wood crafts on a scroll saw that my daddy purchased for me as a Christmas present in the early 90's. I continued crafting and painting and teaching classes while also being a mom to 4 amazing kids.  As they began to leave the nest, I purchased a laser machine and learned to create more detailed crafts with the new technology!   I co-own a very busy reconstruction and remodeling business with THE BEST partner who supports my side hustle and runs us wherever we need to go for an in person show! And while I hold the title of mom...I have now graduated to the even better title of Gigi. When I'm not in the office working you’ll find me out on the farm, chasing the grand babies or traveling!!  

Although my family dubs me the creative child,  I must say I could never, ever, ever crochet! I tried. I failed. Crocheting is Amy's gift.   While I was the pretty princess sister who never broke a sweat, Amy was the tomboy; always seeking the fun of the outdoors or a basketball court. She married and had three boys which kept her in the outdoors.  She switched the basketball court for a baseball diamond though, and has two very successful pitchers to watch on the field now! Even though I'm tapped as the creative one, little did she know that buried deep within her was a craft waiting to emerge. As her children began to leave the nest, and after many requests by her best friend to join her crochet circle, she finally broke down and purchased her first ball of yarn...and she was hooked. 

Together, we started making tiered tray gifts for family and friends and we realized how much fun it was to not only work together, but to merge our crafts  to create unique decor.  So here we are..twisting our crafts together and creating products from the heart to add cheer and whimsy to your home or office!
